"The difference of course is that neither the mayor of Eau Claire or Waukesha is running for governor." No, the difference is that District 48 represents Milwaukee, not Eau Claire or Waukesha. Abelson's job is to represent workers in his district and oppose attempts to cut their benefits. Why would what took place in Eau Claire be "precedent" in this case?
