I, for one, would VOLUNTEER to work at finding fraud in the Food Share program, to wit: "To date, the department has spent $1.7 million for staff-related costs that support fraud prevention, investigation and overpayment collection activities." I have often wondered why more "entities" do not consider using VOLUNTEERS to do some of the jobs that require hiring a new employee. A credible volunteer would bring to the job the same credibility as a "new hire". Certainly, in my case, I am a retired legal assistant who is very qualified in investigation procedures, would be willing to VOLUNTEER my time to investigate the Food Share fraud situation.
